Bamboo Toothbrush Australia Description
At My Humble Earth Australia, our bamboo toothbrush handles are made from natural, biodegradable wood, and the bamboo toothbrush bristles are made from activated charcoal bamboo fibres and BPA free nylon. The nylon in the bristles is needed to give the bristles strength in order to properly clean your teeth.
The activated charcoal bristles have powerful toxin-clearing properties, which have proven to remove stains on your teeth from plaque, red wine and coffee.
Activated charcoal is also:
Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on Earth because it contains naturally occurring antimicrobial agents, there is no need for using fertilizers or pesticides during its cultivation. The bamboo we use in our toothbrush is totally organic and sustainably sourced.
How long will a bamboo toothbrush last?
Our bamboo toothbrushes are very durable, and the bristles will last longer than your average plastic toothbrush. Dentists recommend you change your toothbrush every 3 months to stop the build up of bacteria in the bamboo toothbrush bristles.
Why are bamboo toothbrushes better than plastic toothbrushes?
Using a bamboo toothbrush and brushing our teeth are very necessary to maintain good oral hygiene and help prevent costly trips to the dentist to remove plague, or get a new filling. Each one of us disposes around 3-4 toothbrushes per year, and plastic toothbrushes will not decompose in your lifetime. Unfortunately plastic toothbrushes are one of the main items found discarded in the ocean and our natural environment, and are a huge contribution to the global plastic pollution problem.

Bamboo Toothbrush Instructions
We recommend you storing a bamboo toothbrush in a dry place, away from water. If you keep your bamboo toothbrush in the shower, make sure it will not be sitting in a pool of water every time you shower.
At myhumbleearth.com.au, our bamboo toothbrushes are suitable to be paired with an activated charcoal teeth whitening powder. As activated charcoal powder can be slightly abrasive on your teeth while it removes all the plague, food and drink stains, we do not recommend usage of brushing your teeth with activated charcoal powder more than once per week.
Alternatively, our bamboo toothbrushes are suitable to be paired with activated charcoal infused toothpaste, with can be used multiple times per day.
The reason our bamboo toothbrushes are suitable to be paired with other activated charcoal products, is because their bristles are already a black colour, therefore, cannot be stained by charcoal powder.
Bamboo Toothbrush Disposal
When disposing of the bamboo toothbrush after it has reached the end of it's lifetime, pull the activated charcoal bristles out with some pliers and place the bristles in the landfill rubbish bin before placing the wooden handle in the compost or recycling bin.
Alternatively, to dispose of your bamboo toothbrush, you can also snap the head of your bamboo toothbrush handle to place in your landfill bin, while composting or recycling the remaining bamboo handle.
The packaging is made from 100% recycled Kraft paper, which can be composted or recycled. All stickers are made from paper with biodegradable colour dyes.
